The Business Office Administration program at Newbridge College provides the training and education needed to begin a business career. This program features hands-on computer training using the software applications most commonly used by today's business employers along with marketing, business communications, accounting and other marketable real-world skills students can apply to actual business situations when they graduate.

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Training and Testing

The Business Office Administration program includes in-depth training using Microsoft Office applications - the business software used in most offices today. In addition, Newbridge College is an official Certiport authorized Microsoft Office Testing Center which allows our students to take the certification exam at our campus and become recognized Certified Microsoft Office Specialists when they graduate.

Graduates of this program earn a Diploma in Business Office Administration and are eligible to take the exams for several different certificates, including Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and NACPB Bookkeeper, and Certified Specialist for Quickbooks.

The Business Office Administration program is designed to help students hone and improve business skills and learn the best practices used in multiple business industries, giving our graduates the flexibility to begin working in a wide-range of different office environments.

Graduates who complete this program have the skills and training to begin working in a broad range of business occupations, including accounts payable/receivable clerk, accounting clerk, inventory control clerk, payroll clerk, assistant financial manager, general office clerk, receptionist, office assistant, administrative assistant, bookkeeper, customer service representative, clerical assistant and more.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), professional office jobs are expected to grow from 12% (for secretaries and administrative assistants) to 24% (for receptionists and information clerks) from 2010 through 2020. Competition will be strong and opportunities will likely favor those who stay educated in technology and business skills, particularly those with appropriate training and related experience.*
